more sand and water.....

Last week we heard about a hotel doing a free swimming day! Free..we were on it! And considering we are feeling the heat rise each day and back to showering multiple times a day to keep from..ya know...crying because it is HOT! Jason had to teach though so it was just me and the girls. Lusi joined us in a hand-me-down but still way to big swimsuit of Annis and we were off. I thought it would be super crowded but only 3 families showed up (I guess we are the only cheap-sters who love a free day). We had a blast staying cool (expect Lusi who was cold after about an hour- bless her African self)and having a bit of girl time. The food at the hotel was too expensive for us but a quick stop at a roadside chipis (fries) stand on the ride home clenched it as a fantastic afternoon.



Then over the weekend we took Lusi and her brother Mika to the beach for high tide swimming and some impromptu sand castle making. Lusi and Anni were expert shells gather-er's and Mika was the architect of design. Evy "helped" by destroying our attempts to make a river around the castle and by eating some sand. I mostly supervised, kept Evy at bay, and took pictures.
