beach therapy

So after my day yesterday I was so excited that today we went to the beach for half the day with friends. Hunkering down in the grainy, hot sand and floating blissfully in the cool sea waves is equivalent to at least 3 hours of intense therapy. Ah, much, much better. It also helps that at least a few others mentioned how unbearably hot it was yesterday including some locals so that makes me feel a little better. Although I am sure it did not bring anyone else to tears (who me overly emotional? NO!) at least I felt vindicated that it indeed was wicked steamy and not that I am seriously losing my mind, although I never rule that out completely. After some fabulous rain last night it has cooled off tremendously and being seaside made life not only bearable but enjoyable again. We had a picnic lunch on the beach and even saw dolphins swimming and jumping out of the water. Amazing! Here are some pictures of our day.

You are not 'over emotional' - God made you sensitive and it is part of who you are! Having your feelings come out so easily is one of the ways that makes you so compassionate to others and makes you so unique and special! There is nothing wrong with you!!! I think you are great :)

P,.S. I can relate to the heat...(kindof) it was SO hot in Vietnam...plus witht the humidity it made it unberable. The difference was, we were only there for 2 weeks AND we had air conditioning in the hotel!!! But I would get very cranking and yucky feeling if we were out in it too long - and I am a person who LOVES to be in the sun and to feel warm!!!!

ok, is it just me or do your photos look like vacation pics. More like magazine ads! I love the first shot of the three of you together! The light is so neat!

Glad it rained and you're doing better! Good job waiting it out!

Hey girl! I totally feel you on the hot and crabby when it's hot! I remember some days in Sudan, just laying in my hammock unable to move or breathe! The key is finding a tree to sit under. BTW, It's confirmed that I'm headed back to Kenya! I'll be 1 km from TZ!! So hopefully we can get together! YAY!
Also, I have friends following your blog now bc you're videos of Anni are so cute.

Anni sure loves the beach. Katy will have to take her scuba diving when she's older. It does look like you're on vacation, but I know just exisiting in that heat is hard work. Enjoy what you can, when you can. It actually was very windy here today, and it actually snowed for about 2 mins. The leaves were beautiful up at the lake, and we had 12 turkeys in our front yard. Dip was going nuts, and kept looking for them for two days.
