our family right now
"There are friends, there is family, and then there are friends that become family."
It has been a few months since Joy moved in and gave up sleeping in EVER (pole Joy!) to join our family for a time. My being sick for months was not part of my plan but my plans rarely work out how I think they will and I'm grateful Joy has stuck around with us for the hard and ugly parts as well as the fun and the fabulous. She is such a blessing to us and we are all learning that living in community is a rich experience that allows us all to grow in huge ways. And while I don't think we will take Evy's suggestion to all take a "fun family bath" together :) it does feel like Joy is part of our family these days.
