Welcome to Immeasurably More
I am a daughter, sister, teacher, friend, woman, wife, lover, activist, adventurer, photographer at Hawa Images, & a Mama who is seeking to follow God where He calls and it is always an adventure.

Hello! I'm Roxanne or Roxi if you knew me back in my fluffed hair sprayed bangs and tight rolled jeans days..yikes.  During our years in East Africa I mostly heard "Mama Annikah."  I am currently are living in the burbs of Chicago with my husband and our 4 kids. I dearly love all things urban (like I swoon for walks along the lakefront and public parks holding overpriced coffee...sigh). I have been married 16 years to my best friend; who could not be more opposite of me but who keeps me sane and rooted (a tall order I tell you).  Marriage and family in my experience are not easy but it has been an amazing opportunity to see His Grace in the everyday.

I am a photographer over at Hawa Images & I am rarely seen without a camera or a latte in hand and I love to (over)share about life and tell stories.  Stories draw me in, they inspire me, and they change me.  I consider it a blessing and honor when people invite me in to tell part of their story.  My family is anything but perfect but I have learned to love the beautiful mess and capturing moments moves me and teaches me about this beautiful, broken world. I work with my clients to create images that tell stories; stories full of raw emotion, abundant in authenticity, & that move us in compassion for one another.

We are on a foster care & adoption journey that has been difficult and shows no signs of getting smoother. Which is ok because I know I see the most of Him when things are completely out of my control.  Yep, Faith required on all life's journeys.

I have learned so much in living and loving with people that are culturally different from me but whom have become so close to my heart. I am abundantly thankful for the richness of the experiences living cross culturally has allowed our family to experience.

I follow Jesus; however imperfectly, because He is the lover of my soul, my savior, redeemer, and friend. His promise of freedom is real.  His call to crawl up on my cross daily; while not easy, has been the most rewarding journey of my life.  I always have more questions than answers but I want to spend the rest of my days pursuing closeness to God and peace for people everywhere.  This blog is an attempt to give Him glory in everything and reflect on our journey as a family....Thanks for stopping by & welcome!
