saying goodbye

untitled-23
Jason's Grandma Linnea passed from this temporary place to her eternal home with her savior. We drove to Milwaukee to join her family and friends gathered to celebrate and remember her life and legacy
untitled-44 Her children each spoke about her dedication to her family, strong personality (before it was cool to be a strong woman), willingness to serve others, and her deep devotion and love of Jesus. untitled-50 untitled-37 untitled-54
Anni spent the service quietly drawing a picture with a pen I scrounged from my purse and some paper I begged from the receptionist at the front desk ( I know I am always prepared). After the memorial she showed us what she had made. It was a beautiful henna inspired drawing of flowers and crosses with a wheel design that had the following written around it "God made Linnea, God loves Linnea, God bless Linnea." It was a privilege to be there to remember and reflect on her life.
We grieve but not like one who has no hope.

Beautiful pictures, Roxanne! I have Anni's picture that she drew. It somehow ended up in my folder...
